Counseling for New Mothers
You were never meant to do this alone.
If you’re a new mom—or navigating life with your second or third child—and the feelings you’re having don’t match what you expected, you're not broken. You’re human. And you’re not alone.
Maybe everyone says, “Enjoy every moment,” but your days feel heavy, confusing, or nothing like the pictures you see online. Maybe you thought this would come more naturally—or that the love would feel instant. But instead, you’re left wondering: Is it supposed to feel this way?
For some women, things settle with time, a walk outside, support from loved ones, or simply rest. For others, talking to a therapist who understands the emotional shifts of motherhood can bring clarity, healing, and relief.
I have education and training in postpartum disorders and understand that hormone changes, personal and family history, and the level of support you have all play an important role in how you’re feeling and coping in this season of life.
You might be feeling:
Overwhelmed and questioning whether you were meant to be a mom
Guilty because you expected more of yourself
Disconnected or numb, just going through the motions
Frustrated that your mind won't stop racing
Worried all the time, even about things that never used to bother you
Afraid to ask for help because of what others might think
Sad that bonding with your baby doesn’t feel easy or natural
Like you want to run away—and then ashamed for even thinking it
These feelings don’t make you a bad mom. They make you a mom who’s doing her best under very real pressure.
Whether this is your first baby or your third, if any of this resonates, you don’t have to carry it alone. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to talk through what you’re experiencing. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the overwhelm and create a plan to help you reconnect—with yourself, your baby, and the version of motherhood that feels true to you.
